The Victim Crisis Assistance Ontario (VCAO) Program is delivered by staff and trained volunteers who provide free, non-judgmental, confidential support to people affected by crime and tragic circumstances.  Staff and volunteers work in partnership with Police, Emergency Services, and other community service providers to meet the immediate needs of individuals who have been victimized as a result of a crime or tragic circumstance. Staff will also work with them on a short term basis to connect individuals with appropriate community service providers.

Staff and trained volunteers support victims, witnesses, and family members affected by:

  • Domestic violence
  • Motor Vehicle Collisions
  • Elder abuse
  • Hate crimes
  • Homicide
  • Attempt murder
  • Fire
  • Human trafficking
  • Industrial accidents
  • Drownings
  • Robbery and property crimes
  • Sexual assault
  • Sudden death
  • Suicide
  • And more



Children under 16 need consent from a parent or guardian to receive services.
