About Us

Kawartha Haliburton Victim Services is a community-based service that provides immediate emotional and practical support to victims of crime and tragic circumstances. Our objective is to lessen the trauma of those victimized, help them to cope with the immediate impact of the crime or tragic circumstance, and encourage and support the victim(s) in contacting and connecting with other community services for additional counseling, financial assistance, housing, and medical or legal services as appropriate.

Vision Statement

We seek to empower victims and survivors of tragic or traumatic circumstances with emotional and/or practical support and resources to cope with the impact of the crisis.

Mission Statement

Kawartha Haliburton Victim Services is a non-profit organization working in partnership with Police, Emergency Services, and other community agencies to provide immediate confidential assistance and referral services to victims and survivors of crime, trauma, and tragic circumstances.
